Our gentle and flowing, non-insertion acupuncture techniques improve the flow of Qi and Blood to the face. This increases elasticity and collagen in the facial tissues while decreasing muscle tension.

Our face can hold a lot of our tension and stress. In order to fully treat the face, we also address the neck and shoulder muscles with gentle acupuncture and massage. This kind of treatment is effective at reducing symptoms of depression by stimulating vagal nerve tone and helping you smile.

We start each session with a constitutional diagnosis and treatment to bring balance to the hormonal, immune, nervous and digestive systems. How many treatments does it take?

One to two treatments a week are recommended for 10-12 sessions. This treatment strategy is more likely to create dramatic and noticeable results that can last for several years. Most people experience a change in their facial tone and a reduction in stress after one treatment. Each treatment after that just gets better. Many people chose to come in for occasional tune-ups after their initial 10-12 visits. We do not require you to purchase bundles. You will usually know if it is something that will benefit your health, well being, and beauty after a few treatments

Our Methods

Our focus at Farm Hands Acupuncture and Massage is always to treat each person with care, dignity, and attention. East Asian medicine is an ancient tradition that provides methods of addressing illness, pain, or disease in the mind, body, and spirit. We use these techniques to read patterns in the body that can be balaced with gentle acupuncture and massage.

For facial rejuvenation we start each session with a meridian balancing treatment. We usually use a few sterile, and hair fine, needles to do this part of the job. If you are uncomfortable with needles, just let us know and we will do our meridian therapy with a teishin (non-inserted needle). After we correct the flow of Qi in the meridians of the body we move our attention to the upper shoulders, neck, and face. For most people all of this work is done with a silver teishin (non-inserted needle). In some cases, where there is excessive tension or more complex conditions, such as Bell's Palsy or stroke, we opt to use minimal inserted acupuncture needles in a few select areas.
